Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley, Dayton Refugee Oral Histories (SC-349)
The collection documents the stories of six (6) local Dayton area refugees who originated from Congo, Iraq, Burundi, and Ethiopia. It contains audio oral histories, transcripts, and project documentation.
Paul Katz Papers
The collection consists of materials relating to Katz's long career as a musician, composer, teacher, and conductor. Katz organized the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra in 1933 and held the post of Musical Director until he retired in 1975. Papers in this collection include personal correspondence, conductor scores, photographs, clippings, speeches, and articles by Katz. Also included are audio recordings of performances and interviews by Dr. Katz and his wife Phyllis Katz.
Leo Lucas Oral History Interview (SC-262)
The collection consists of an oral history interview audio recording with Leo Lucas, a member of the Dayton City School Board during the battle over busing students for desegregation. The interview was conducted in the summer of 1975 by high school student Mark Benbow.
